    Mrs Howard and Year 4 were excited to start learning the violin this week! Mr Hawcutt from Severn Arts will be visiting the class every Monday afternoon to assist with their musical development. The children are encouraged to practice the violin at home but must remember to bring their instrument back into school on Mondays.

     

    Also on Monday we welcomed Mrs Kennedy from St Egwin's Middle School to our Year 5 class. The children were given an invitation to St Egwin's Open Evening and a School Prospectus.

     

    Mrs Fishbourne met with our new ECO Warriors on Tuesday lunchtime.  Lara, Lennon, Emilia, Eli, John, Lucy, Darcy, Reece, Harry, Maria, Mrs Clark and Mrs Fishbourne had a very productive meeting. They have given all the classes a specific role and a challenge!

     

    The ECO warriors will be sharing a ‘handy tip’ on each newsletter. The first ‘handy tip’ is Lennon’s suggestion:

     

    ‘’Make sure you tidy up so things don’t get broken’’

     

    Our Celebration Assembly was very well attended this morning - thank you to everyone who joined us.

    We welcomed back all pupils and staff to the autumn term.

    Music lessons started again this week - children are excited to be learning keyboard, recorder, flute and clarinet. We also hope to begin guitar and ukulele lessons at the end of the month. Details to be given to parents shortly.

    Year 5 had the first of their 10 swimming lessons this week at Evesham Leisure Centre.

    After school clubs also started this week - Sports Challenge are offering mini football club on Mondays for Reception and Year 1, hockey on Tuesdays and football on Wednesdays for Years 2 to 5.

    This term we are offering two new clubs for children - gymnastics club which is run by Mr Eaton of Team Bees and archery club run by Evesham Archery Club - both clubs have proved to be very popular and are well attended.

    More clubs start week commencing 26th September.

     

Top
