Music
Music is so important to us at Harvington C of E First and Nursery School. As well as our comprehensive music curriculum we also aim to enrich the children's experiences with other music activities.
Many children receive instrumental tuition, either delivered by peripatetic music teachers or class teachers themselves. We offer individual and small group music lessons in piano, keyboard, singing, violin, guitar and cello. All of Year Four learn the cornet. The children are encouraged to participate in a music concert learning the skills of performance and presenting.
The children enjoy listening to music from different periods of history moving from medieval music, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary.
Children also learn and sing songs in our EYFS/Key Stage One Nativity performance, Key Stage Two Christmas Carol Concert and KS2 Summer Summer performance.
