LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (linked to two Nursery children)


To start January 2021 (subject to Enhanced DBS check)

Scale Point 1 (+ SEN Allowance)


Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 3.00pm (30 minute lunch break)


Working one to one to support two children with significant needs.


Applicants must:


  •    • Have experience of supporting individual needs.
  •    • Have recent experience of working within an Early Years setting
  •    • Demonstrate a good level of English and Maths, with GCSE qualification graded A-C, or


  •    • Have the ability to confidently follow planning and adapt, where necessary, to support

children’s individual needs.

  •    • Be a team player, who is committed to their own professional development
  •    • Support the Christian ethos of our school
  •    • Have working knowledge of safeguarding practices


Your responsibilities will include:


  •    •  Assisting two individual children with significant needs (different days)
  •    •  Ensuring their safety within the nursery environment
  •    •  Engaging in all activities
  •    •  Motivating and encouraging pupils
  •    •  Support learning and achievement of specific targets

Monday to Friday – 11.50am to 1.15pm


We wish to appoint a confident and capable individual to join our existing team of lunchtime supervisors. The role forms an important part of the school team to ensure the welfare and safety of all children during the lunch period.


Harvington CE First & Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to recognise and share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
