‘Together we love, learn and grow’

Week ending 22nd September 2017

This week our presentations for the role of Prime Minister have taken place.  The whole of Key Stage two voted for who they thought would be the best Prime Minister and I am pleased to announce that Lily Kealy was the successful candidate.  The teachers have been very busy going through all of the application forms for the other minister roles and the successful applicants should have received a letter to inform them of their new role.  Congratulations to all of the children who have been successful and thank you to everyone who applied or did a presentation. We will keep you up to date with our projects!

We welcomed Helen Davies from Severn Arts into school on Monday who will be teaching our Year 4 class how to play the violin. Helen will attend on a weekly basis. Children are reminded to bring in their instruments every Monday.

Reverend Richard, together with him team, led an Open the Book assembly on Wednesday. The children always enjoy their imaginative story telling.

A child from each year group participated in a 'Golden Tea' with Mrs Fishbourne. It was lovely to hear how well the start of the term is going whilst enjoying delicious biscuits and juice.

We are pleased to announce that, with over 67% of the votes, this year's school charity is The Vale Wildlife. We look forward to supporting this local animal rescue centre.
