Trips and Visits

At Harvington CE First and Nursery School we carefully plan a wide range of trips, visits and events to enrich the curriculum opportunities for all children.

 

Each class go on an external visit one a term and these are planned to enhance the children's learning. These visits include: outdoor learning at Bishopswood, Almonry Museum in Evesham, a village walk to Ellenden Farm, Leicester Space Centre, the Synagogue in Birmingham, Hartlebury museum, Pizza Express, Hindu Temple, Worcester Cathedral, Stratford Mary Arden's Farm, the Mosque in Birmingham, Compton Verney, Bristol Science Museum.

 

Year Five attend a three day residential visit to Kingswood Residential Activity Centre and have two sleepovers, meals out and participate in many outdoor activities including the zip wire, maze and team building, problem solving challenges.

 

All the children also attend St James' Church as a whole school, for church services, for example, Advent and Ash Wednesday.

 

Finally, the children also enjoy different events and activities in school. Most recently these have included iSing Pop week learning new songs, a pottery day, well-being day, drumming workshops, Lego workshop, Science workshop, Christmas reindeer visit and pantomime. The 'Animal Man', Bhangra dancing and Samba Percussion workshops are planned for later this year.
