Spring 1 - Forgiveness

The Christian Value we will be focusing on this half term is Forgiveness. Everyone makes mistakes, it's part of being human. Sometimes mistakes hurt others and we need to say sorry. Sometimes mistakes made by other people hurt us. When this happens we need to be able to forgive. We will look at how God's love is so great that forgiveness is always possible.

Forgiveness is fundamental to the character of God. Throughout the Bible, God is described as slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin. Jesus also teaches forgiveness. Forgiveness was at the heart of everything he did and is at the heart of the Lord’s Prayer. Forgiveness cannot be given or received unless it is asked for, and the asking must be genuine and from the heart.
