The current advice is to:

Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms

Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.

Read NHS advice about staying at home.

Urgent advice:Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:

  • you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
  • your condition gets worse
  • your symptoms do not get better after 7 days

Use the 111 coronavirus service

Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.

Please consult your doctor if your child has underlying medical conditions.

Education settings are staying open on PHE advice unless advised otherwise. Parents must ensure that their children get a full time education that meets their needs.

If you keep your child off school, please keep the office updated as to the reasons why. Please phone 01386 870412 or email

Coronavirus Update

We do not have any reason to be concerned about the coronavirus at the moment however, we are making sure that all areas of the school are cleaned thoroughly, including daily cleaning of door handles, toilets and communal areas.

We have spoken to the children in assembly about the importance of washing their hands regularly with soap and hot water and to use tissues if they cough or sneeze to 'Catch It, Kill It, Bin It'.

It is recommended that using soap and hot water is the best way to prevent infection.

Below are websites advising parents and carers on latest advice. We will update these as we receive further information.

The Department of Education has opened a phone line and email service to support staff and parents during the coronavirus outbreak.

Phone 0800 046 8687 or email
