My Many Colored Days

We can use colour to help us make sense of how we're feeling, who we are and the world we live in.

How tall can you build your rocket before it blasts off into space?

Take a photo and add it to Evidence Me.

Recipe for easy aromatherapy moon sand.

You only need 2 ingredients~ flour (all-purpose) and baby oil.

Bowl, spoon, measuring cups, continuer with lid.

Measure 4 cups of flour, and pour it into your bowl. Next, add 1/2 cup of baby oil. During this step you can also add a drop or two of essential oils to make aromatherapy mood sand. Another option is to buy lavender scented baby oil (or any other scent you like.)

Mix the ingredients together until "sand" appears. This will only take about 10 seconds to happen.

Store in a covered container when after playing.

Go outside when it is dark, or look out the window and talk about what you can see. Can you count the stars? Can you find the moon? Does the sky change from one night to the next?

Ask a grown-up or friend to sing ‘5 Little Men in a Flying Saucer’ with you. You could use your fingers to be the men in the flying saucer and put one down when you sing, “one man flew away.”

Ask a grown-up if you can have some recycled materials from your house. Use these to build a spaceship. It could be a small model, big enough to fit a teddy bear inside, or even big enough to fit you!
