Pupil Parliament is based on real Parliament but in a pupil version 

 

There are ministers for each area in school , here are the members of our Pupil Parliament :

Our Roles

Prime Minister              

 

Take charge of the other ministers and ensure everyone is doing their job correctly.

Run meetings, direct other ministers in the correct direction.  Deal with problems.  Feedback progress to Mrs Fishbourne and governors.

Deputy Prime Minister

Assist the Prime Minister with all of the jobs above.  Work together with the Prime Minister as a strong partnership.

Learning Minister

Plan opportunities for fun learning opportunities that fit in with our curriculum.  Suggest/arrange resources/dates… Take part in learning walks.

Outdoor Learning Minister

Plan/suggest outdoor learning activities that fit in with our curriculum.  Suggest/arrange resources/dates…

E Safety Minister

Promote e safety across the school.  Come up with ideas for lessons or activities.

PE Minister

Ensure children are involved in PE activities within school and out of school.  Help to update the PE board in school.  Help to arrange events such as young leader games and sports day.

Sunshine Minister

Work with Mrs Howard and Reverend Thorniley to develop RE throughout the school.  Report back to classes following meetings, check reflection areas.  Gather feedback about school values.  Help to update the Sunshine board.

Eco Minister

Work with Mrs Fishbourne to ensure the school maintains/improves its Eco status. Report back to classes following meetings, check reports/bills.  Gather feedback/put forward new ideas.  Help to update the Eco board.

School Council Minister

Work with Miss Kite to arrange and run school council meetings.  Be involved with planning and attending school council cluster events. Report back to classes following meetings.  Gather feedback from class council meetings/put forward new ideas.  Help to update the school council board.

Charities Minister

Work to plan events and promote charity events.  Present events to the children through presentations and to the parents using the ‘Friday’ letter and text messages.  Report back on the effectiveness of the charity event.

Behaviour Minister

Collect nominations for celebration assembly-The Pig, Harvey the Hedgehog, RE waistcoat, Rabbit, Tidy Classroom and Lunch table.  Monitor reward/sanctions in place, put forward new ideas.  Order resources needed-badges/stickers…  Set up groups for lunchtimes/playtimes…
